Webinar
Duration: 50 m
In a globalized steel market, Canadians must stand firm in upholding national standards. Engineering rests on the pillars of safety, accountability, and excellence, and it demands a steadfast commitment to those values—even amid competitive international pressures. This presentation emphasizes the importance of resisting downward trends in quality, defending domestic manufacturing, and fully understanding the liability risks tied to foreign materials. By refusing to compromise on standards, we protect our communities, support Canadian industry, and lead with integrity in responsible engineering practice.
Presented by Robert Wolofsky, P.Eng., ing., M.Eng., Senior Structural Engineer | Industrial Energy & Resources
Mr. Wolofsky holds a master's degree in civil/structural engineering from McGill University, enabling him to be a proficient engineer in all matters related to civil and structural design. Working in heavy industries for over 15 years, his work experience has been balanced between project lead, design engineering, and on-site presence. With his broad range of technical skills and expertise, his work has included both green and brown field projects in several industries including pulp and paper, energy, mining and metals, maritime, and material handling. His master’s studies included a specialization in the durability of material, which has made him an ideal candidate for brownfield projects where corrosion of steel and deterioration of concrete elements is of concern.
