The purpose of the CISC connection design courses is for the students to develop the necessary knowledge base required to move from the basics through niche structural steel connection design principles.
The information presented here is excerpts from our Connections 1 course and is offered freely as a service to our industry as several key concepts are introduced and this information is necessary building block for good fabricator and EoR relations. Niche connection design topics, such as those associated with Hollow Structural Sections (HSS) are addressed in other CISC courses and more education on sway buckling, extended shear tab and double cope stability is planned for future development.
We hope you find value in this course and if interested, please check out our other connection design offerings in the non-seismic connections and HSS sections of the steel store.
