SCOPE
1.1 This Standard applies to the design, fabrication and
erection of sheet steel cladding for industrial,
commercial and institutional building applications.
The cladding shall be formed from carbon or lowalloy
sheet which has been hot-dip coated with zinc
or 55% aluminum-zinc alloy and subsequently coil
coated (prefinished) with an organic paint system.

1.2 This Standard applies to sheet steel cladding for
use on buildings with low internal humidity and
includes the necessary closures, gaskets, caulking,
flashings and fasteners to effect a weather
tight installation in accordance with the job plans
and specifications.
